National Cheeseburger Day

As the true Burger-lovers you are, you know that National Cheeseburger Day is a day to be revered. Not only does it celebrate one of the most iconic sandwiches of all time, it’s a great excuse (as if you needed one) to load up on the best Cheeseburgers around.

Adding cheese to Hamburgers became popular in the late 1920s to mid 1930s. While there have been several claims over the years as to who was the first to put a slice of cheese on a sizzling Hamburger, what we know for sure is from that momentous day on the world has been better for it. Nowadays, people do more than just a slice of American cheese: mountains of cheese—from American to Cheddar to Bleu to Gorgonzola and more, mac n cheese, fried cheese—the list goes on and on.
